Well known and respected in our local areas of Mitcham, Unley and surrounding suburbs – The Torrens Arms Hotel has long been known as a pillar of support for local schools, sporting clubs, charities, and community events. We recognise the importance of the role we play with the support that we provide, and we are truly privileged to see the differences we help make in the community!
Mural
We partnered with Unley High School again in 2023 to develop a mural design scholarship for their students, with guidance from local full-time artist Mike Sander – plus a cash prize for the winning student!
A panel of judges filtered through some amazing submissions this year, with the winner being named Melissa Dunstan. Mike worked closely with Melissa to further develop the design into the masterpiece it is today.
Designed through inspiration from 1952 film, Singing in the Rain, Melissa came up with a design that celebrates native bird live.
The TA and Unley High School will continue the Mural Scholarship into the future, running the competition annually.
Mitcham Cinemas
Being situated right across the road from Wallis Cinemas Mitcham, it seemed silly not to partner up and offer the locals an affordable dinner and movie date!
We offer $10 tickets with any main meal purchased for lunch and dinner! Feast on a delicious meal and treat your lover or family to a blockbuster film – the perfect day or night out!
Charities and Fundraising
Never knocking back the opportunity to help out a good cause, we provide support in many ways. Financial sponsorship & scholarships, donations for raffles, facilitation of charity collections, complementary room hire and a huge amount of staff participation in fundraising events under the “TA” banner.
Two of the most significant charity events on the TA calendar every year are the Novita Mighty River Run and the Josh Deegan Memorial Golf day.
