Operating under the Hurley Hotel Group (a family-owned business that has been operating in South Australia for over 30 years) the TA has been associated with the Hurley name dating all the way back to 1985 – with a cousin of the family purchasing the hotel alongside her husband. But in 1994, the hotel Freehold was purchased by HHG Managing Director Peter Hurley and a number of other stakeholders – well and truly making it part of the HHG family!
Located a couple of clicks Southeast of the CBD in the leafy suburb of Kingswood, our little joint was built way back in 1857 – with the original façade (built by John Prince) still standing strong to this day! Don’t be fooled by the heritage frontage of our hotel (even though we do think it looks pretty sweet) – what’s kept inside is far from old fashioned!
We’re talking a delicious modern pub menu; a great range of craft beers and local wines; flexible function spaces (with our best currently in the works – watch this space!) and one of the best bottle shops in the metro Southeast.
