We’re the #1 fan of our locals.
The Torrens Arms Hotel is well known and respected in the surrounding suburbs of Mitcham, Unley and beyond, supporting local schools, sporting clubs, charities and hosting community events.
We recognise the importance of the role we play with the support that we provide, and we are truly privileged to see the differences we help make in the community!

Mural
We partnered with Unley High School again in 2025 for our annual mural design scholarship competition for their students, with guidance from local full-time artist Mike Sander — plus a cash prize for the winning student!
A panel of judges filtered through some amazing submissions this year, with the winner being named Yiyi Wang. It’s a love letter to Aussie nature and hospitality that’ll be sure to brighten up the TA for the next 12 months.

Mitcham Cinemas
Being situated right across the road from Wallis Cinemas Mitcham, it seemed silly not to partner up and offer the locals an affordable dinner and movie date!
We offer $13 tickets with any main meal purchased for lunch and dinner! Plus, if you head to the TA after the movie and flash your tickets, you’ll receive 2 for 1 drinks (house wine, schooner of tap beer or soft drink).

Charities and Fundraising
Never knocking back the opportunity to help out a good cause, we provide support in many ways. Financial sponsorship & scholarships, donations for raffles, facilitation of charity collections, complementary room hire and a huge amount of staff participation in fundraising events under the TA banner.
Two of the most significant charity events on our calendar every year are the Novita Mighty River Run and the Josh Deegan Memorial Golf Day.
The TA proudly sponsors:
- Unley Mercedes Jets Football Club
- Mitcham Hawks Football Club
- Unley “Gunners” Cricket Club
- Sturt Falcons Softball Club
- Hawthorn Bowls Club
- Colonel Light Gardens Bowls Club
- Old Concordians Soccer Club
We also happily donate to regular fundraising events for various groups and organisations. If you would like to get in touch regarding community support, please email or call (08) 8272 9255.
