The Hurley Hotel group is proudly owned and directed by Peter and Jenny Hurley and currently consists of 10 hotels including the Arkaba Hotel, Alma Tavern, Hackney Hotel, Kensington Hotel, Marion Hotel, Port Lincoln Hotel, Hotel Royal, Tonsley Hotel, Torrens Arms Hotel and the Pretoria Hotel Mannum.

Since 1997 Peter has been the Chairman of Hospitality Group Training SA supporting apprenticeships and training scheme in South Australia.

With a diverse range of positions, the Hurley Hotel Group is a proud South Australian company that is at the forefront of the Hospitality Industry.

Brooke Burns - General Manager Port Lincoln Hotel

'I started working for the Hurley Group in April 2004. I applied for a full time waitress position where I worked for approx 3 months. The current bistro manager resigned and I put in my application. I was successful and then continued on my role as Bistro Manager for the next 3 years with some filling in for Functions Manager role as well as Duty Manager. I felt it was time to leave the Arkaba and challenge myself and asked for a transfer with in the group.

In August 2007 I got the transfer I was looking for at the Kensington Hotel in the position of Assistant Manager and Functions Co ordinator. Being a smaller hotel I was fortunate to see behind the scenes and prepare myself for the next step in the group.

I returned to the Arkaba Hotel in November 2010 where I was employed as Hotel Manager and in 2012 I was successful in gaining the role of General Manager at the Port Lincoln Hotel.

Thank you for the Hurley Management team for the training, patience and time spent helping me to reach my challenges and goals over the past 9 years, I am still learning and achieving goals I thought I would never be able to reach.'
